The Farmer and The Dale

About Us

Gary (The Farmer) spent many years cultivating his skills as a farmer by attending UC Davis in California, where he earned his Masters degree in agricultural studies. He graduated at the top of his class at the young age of 22 and quickly became an advisor to the many surrounding farmers in the Yolo County area. Through hard work and his talent for cultivating, he developed a new technique for applying all natural organic fertilizer through a delivery system that is now known as the "submerge technique". Gary is now sought after by many agricultural specialists in the north west area of the USA.

Dale (The Dale) graduated from the San Francisco Culinary Arts School in 1993. She worked at several Michelin Five Star restaurants before becoming head chef at the French Laundry in Napa, California. While there, she fine tuned her skills by preparing some of the restaurants most iconic dishes that are still served at the restaurant to this day! She thoroughly enjoys cooking with the fresh and organic ingredients that Gary's gardens and orchards produce.

JUST KIDDING!!

The Farmer and The Dale are just ordinary people that enjoy being the keepers of their farm. Gary and Dale moved to their Pilot Hill home and farm in California in February of 2019 and quickly set about transforming their twenty acres into their now mini farm. The acreage consists of orchards of walnut, almond, olive, pear, and apple trees and is still growing! All summer long Gary harvests his large garden of tomatoes, peppers, corn, and melons, and the fall season brings in quite the harvest of many pumpkins and squashes. Dale spends her time making spaghetti sauce, jams, pies, walnut brittle, spice blends, and more from the farm's bounty.
